Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using VisTeach, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

2. What VisTeach is

VisTeach is an AI-assisted study tool. It generates a guiding question, an explanatory video, and feedback for problems you submit in calculus, organic chemistry, general physics, general chemistry, biology, and statistics. It is a study aid, not a substitute for your coursework, instructors, or academic integrity policies — how you use it in relation to graded work is your responsibility.

3. Accounts

Signing in uses Google OAuth via Supabase. You're responsible for activity under your account. Guests (signed-out visitors) can try one free lesson without an account; to keep going, sign in with Google. Guest usage is also rate-limited overall.

4. Subscriptions & billing

Free accounts are limited to 5 lesson generations per rolling 7-day period. The Student plan ($7/month) includes up to 300 lesson generations per calendar month, subject to a fair-use cost limit; we may pause use that is far outside ordinary student study. We may change limits to keep the service reliable and will show material changes before they apply. Payments are processed by Stripe — VisTeach never sees or stores your card details. You can cancel or manage your subscription anytime from the "Manage subscription" link, which opens Stripe's own billing portal. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not automatically refund the current billing period. Refunds, statutory withdrawal rights, VAT, and other taxes are handled as required by applicable law and Stripe's terms; contact us if you need help with a payment.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use VisTeach to abuse, overload, or attempt to circumvent its usage limits or security; to submit unlawful content; or to resell or redistribute the service without permission.

6. Content

You keep ownership of the problems you submit. Generated videos and feedback are provided for your personal study use. AI output can be incomplete or wrong and must be checked before you rely on it. Generated videos may be cached as shared concept assets and are not guaranteed to disappear immediately when an account is deleted. VisTeach and its branding are owned by the service operator.

7. No warranty; limitation of liability

VisTeach is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. AI-generated explanations can be wrong — verify anything important against your course material. To the extent permitted by law, VisTeach isn't liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

8. Termination

You can stop using VisTeach and delete your account at any time by using the account page after signing in. Deletion cancels an active subscription before removing the app data we control; billing and other records we must retain may remain. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong.
